Who We Are

Stefano Caroli, the company's helmsman and an olive oil entrepreneur, was born in Martina Franca in 1953. His father was an agricultural entrepreneur, but his maternal roots lie in Locorotondo (Bari), the birthplace of his grandfather Stefano Albanese (known as "U marescialle de Janedde"), known for having installed a donkey-powered olive mill in the San Marco district in the early 1900s. For approximately two generations, the mill processed olives for third parties or processed them itself, then sold the oil in bulk to traders and bottlers in the north. From an early age, Stefano spent much of his time in this ancient mill with his grandfather and uncles, developing a passion for olive growing and the production of extra virgin olive oil.
